Berlin is the most beautiful and one of the largest populated cities in Germany. It’s a civic of ethos, science and media firms. It stood as home to several renowned institutions, museums, galleries, shopping and many more.
Areas in Berlin
East Central: The places covered in the east are allied with youth philosophies, Turkish nomads, heaving with widely held shops, bars, clubs, and cafes. These regions are experiencing urban renewal as they are busy with artists, scholars, and media consultants.
Mitte: It’s the historical hub of Berlin and also the budding city centre. Besides the remarkable ancient sites, Mitte is famous for restaurants, cafes, arcades, clubs and art centres etc.
City West: West Berlin is famous for shopping thoroughfares exclusively for extravagances (lavish goods). Eateries and inns are situated on the wayside.
Places to holiday in
- Museum Island: It is said to be the ‘heart of Berlin’. It is the world’s exceptional architectural and global ethnic ensemble of the artistic heirloom by UNESCO. It comprises of the following museums.
- I. Pergamon Museum: It was constructed afore the ‘Battle of Berlin’ took place. It’s one of the most captivating archaeological agglomerations in the world. Many works were renovated and rebuilt. The museum is predominantly famous for the inimitable, extraordinarily stunning treasure trove from several ancient times. It has 4 sectors to be visited like
-Museum of Prehistoric nigh East
-Museum of Islamic Art
-The distant past collection
-Ancient Greek, Roman and Etruscan collection
- II. Altes Museum: This has a collection of Weapons, gold trinkets, silver riches, antiques and other treasures of Greek & Roman era fine art and its folk times past.
- III. Bode Museum: This museum houses the relics of Centuries old. The artefacts of Italian and German Monuments and statues of the early middle age are warehoused.
- IV. Old National Gallery: It stocks the statuaries and landscapes by Caspar David Friedrich, German artist.
- Berlin Zoo: It’s one of the most visited Zoos in Europe. It’s the delighted and much-loved zoo in the whole of Germany. It’s maintained very well. It covers a large area holding nearly 1,500 species and includes a huge play area and buffets. It presents several varieties of wildlife in the world. The zoo authority safeguards the endangered species. The Giant Panda (Bao Bao) is the worldwide known oldest panda in existence died recently at the age of 34 in this zoo. It houses the extremely rare types like Indian rhinos, ring-tailed mongoose, tuataras. The animals here are earnestly sociable and entertaining. If you love fauna or if you are a zoo lover then this would be the ideal place to visit individually or with family. It’s of course a perfect day out and must visit places in Germany.
- Topography of terror: It’s the must stay in outdoor museum. In fact it’s a memorial site in Berlin where the Nazi revolutionary organisations were grounded afore they were burned-out by the Cronies. It’s a projecting exhibition which has many well-preserved relics of those violent times of the Nazi supremacy. Most visitors are shocked and are at wonder eyeing at the proofs. The moments of their activities will be displayed through snapshots and witness interpretations.
It’s sure that one will fall in love with the city for its marvelling fascinations. So, plan a trip to Berlin to revel in the characteristic climate and style’s there.
Areas of Berlin include: Mitte (correct), Prenzlauer Berg, Kreuzberg, Neukolln, Friedrichshain, Schoneberg, Tiergarten, etc. I’m afraid City West and East Central don’t exist
Pretty interesting breakdown for the city. I knew it was divided up, but this is a wonderful way to get a better understanding of it.
Very interesting post about Germany. I would like to visit that museum you spoke of in regards to the Nazi’s, as it’s always good to get a real look at history and to see it and hear it for yourself etc.
